The Marketing Finance group provides financial analysis and strategic decision support for Schwab’s Marketing enterprise. The Bank Regulatory Reporting team is within the Corporate Controller’s department, and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the Company’s banking regulatory reports and disclosures. The reports owned by the team cover various concepts, including financial reporting, capital, monetary policy, deposit, and exposure. Reports include the Call Report, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14Q/M, FR Y-9LP, FFIEC 101, FFIEC 009, Basel III disclosures, FR Y-2900, and FR Y-15. Reports are prepared for multiple consolidated and stand-alone legal entities, including the parent holding company (The Charles Schwab Corporation), three bank charters, and multiple nonbanking subsidiaries. Due to the company’s growth, and regulators’ heightened interest in regulatory report content, the team is currently undergoing numerous initiatives ranging from automation to new report implementation, while fulfilling its core reporting responsibilities. The Controller’s Department is responsible for corporate-wide functional expertise in the areas of Accounting Policy, Corporate Accounting, Consolidation of Financial Results, and Financial Reporting to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulators.   As part of the Corporate Controller’s Department, the SEC Reporting group is responsible for the preparation and filing of all audited financial documents, SEC filings (i.e., 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, 17a-5s, 17-Hs); related earnings release materials (8-K) and investor presentations ensuring compliance with SEC rules and regulations, US GAAP guidance and consistency across all communications.

This position has responsibility for the day-to-day underwriting of Pledged Asset Lending (securities-based lending). Underwriting and cash flow analysis of borrowers from various industries is required to minimize loan losses, identify and mitigate credit risk, and prepare reports for senior management. Underwriter will use borrower/guarantor provided financial information, industry data, internal Schwab data and sound judgment to support underwriting decisions.
