The Senior Team Manager – Bank Lending is responsible for the performance and management of daily inbound and outbound phone hotline activities and operational tasks related to the Pledged Asset Line product and Mortgage/HELOC issues. The role is responsible for supervising employees who handle day to day Pledged Asset Line (PAL) and transaction processing, money movements, account open and account maintenance support, lending operations, and Mortgage/Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) product advancements.

The AICS Team performs a variety of functions including Asset Acceptance, Trading, Distributions, Reconciliation, Transfers, Client Service, Valuation, Risk Reporting and Monitoring, Communications, and Corporate Actions. We focus on maximizing operating leverage by increasing productivity and gaining efficiencies in order to better position Schwab to compete in the marketplace and to reinvest in areas that matter most to our clients. As an Alternative Investment Specialist, you will pursue our mission and values. You will have the exciting opportunity to:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of securities that do not trade on exchanges or over-the-counter dealer network markets.
- Perform and master a variety of functions across the AICS spectrum acting in a flexible support role to established teams. The Specialist, in partnership with the Team Manager, will review open case volumes throughout AICS to determine where priority and dedicated support will be given.
- Conduct the initial Asset Acceptance Review of securities that are new to the Schwab platform. In this capacity, the Specialist will act as the gatekeeper to Schwab platform, allowing Schwab to become custodian on securities that adhere to the AI Custody Policy.
- Communicate directly with principals from the fund/issuer, administrators, transfer agents and third party vendors via phone and email.
- Engage with high net worth Investor Services clients by providing a full spectrum of services involving alternative investments through the AICS phone hotline and email channels.
- Facilitate purchases of Alternative Investments in addition to processing redemptions and distributions. Process incoming and outgoing transfers ensuring custody requirements are met.
- Problem solve and resolve transactional requests that are not able to be completed straight through.
- Meet expected service level agreements with respect to case reviews and additional team processing responsibilities while providing guidance related to complex problems.
- Assist manager in identifying areas of opportunity and enhancing process efficiencies. Management of special projects as they arise and participation in Sprint ceremonies throughout the Sprint cycle.
- Create and leverage partnerships with various teams throughout the firm, including multiple teams within Alternative Investment Custody Services, numerous groups within Operational Services and Advisor Services and Investor Services support teams.

The Managed and Advised Account Operations (MAAO) team performs a variety of functions and services for both Advisor Services and Investor Services clients enrolled in Schwab’s Managed Account products and the Schwab Private Client offer. Within MAAO, the Managed Accounts Reconciliation Service plays an integral role in providing support to internal staff and money managers via the Fiserv/APL database used for the Schwab Managed Account Sponsored platforms. A critical function of this team is the pre-market account reconciliation performed daily on all managed accounts. The team is comprised of members located in both Phoenix and Orlando. In addition to processing daily and weekly validation reports, the team also responds to escalations, service issues and operational questions received via email, phone and comtrack. Internal requests for Advised Offer billing adjustments are also handled by this team.

Retirement Services provides expertise on complex product and service questions for IRAs and Qualified Retirement Plans. We also handle certain retirement account processing. Client Reporting and Security Service (CRSS) is a department within Client Service & Support’s (CS&S) Operational Support division. CRSS specializes in promoting client loyalty and satisfaction by providing high quality subject matter expertise to our internal business partners and end-clients in the following subject matter areas: Schwab client tax reporting, cost basis, corporate actions, securities operations, distributions, and client reporting products. The work performed requires attention to detail and in some cases involves research and analysis. Explanations need to be communicated in an articulate, clear, and effective manner. Teams are located in Orlando, Indianapolis, Denver, Phoenix and Westlake. Margin Services protects the firm from risk exposure by monitoring accounts to ensure compliance with FINRA, SRO and Schwab rules and regulations. Margin Services imposes trading restrictions on accounts for trade settlement violations. Margin services reviews money due, stock due and various risk reports. We handle inquiries from both internal and external clients regarding buying power, funds available and day trading.
Trading Operations is the leading provider of custodial, trading, technology and practice management to registered independent advisory firms. We provide access to sophisticated wealth-management services that help advisors attract and retain affluent clients, as well as profitably grow, compete and succeed in their business efforts.
We provide dedicated service to these advisory firms. The focus is on building relationships and a more personalized approach to service. They build strong rapport with Investment Advisors, know them on a first name basis and provide that one on one service that Schwab is known for.
The Team provides a wide range of phone based service and support to institutional clients (independent investment advisory firms) to enhance the client experience and increase client loyalty. We work with peers, client, and business partners to mitigate risk and ensure timely settlement booking trades. Our group researches and responds to client issues related to trades executed away from Schwab. We promote client retention and identifies opportunities to expand existing relationships through service quality, delivery of timely and accurate information in response to inquiries and/or service issues, and services, and recommending service or process enhancements.

The Manager – Lending Solutions Team will serve as the single point of contact for all Charles Schwab clients, employees, and internal partners interested in learning about or applying for a mortgage, pledged asset line of credit and for questions and advancements throughout the entire lending process. This team will play a key role in the success of the Bank’s lending program through delivering an outstanding client experience while helping the firm realize it’s earning potential. The LST will provide a single point of contact throughout the entire mortgage and pledge asset line application and origination process, maintaining consistent communication and providing problem resolution and troubleshooting. A successful LST member will combine a high level of technical lending and servicing expertise, strong relationship skills, and will demonstrate sound judgment in providing a premier lending experience. The Senior Specialist, Bank Operations applies knowledge skills and experience to perform daily deposit account operations and bank lending solutions tasks. The role is responsible for handling day to day deposit account advancements, Pledged Asset Line (PAL) and Overdraft Credit Line (OCL) transaction processing, monetary adjustments, account open and account maintenance support, statement production, escheatment, lending servicing, lending operations, Mortgage and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) product advancements, and tax reporting.
