SAMS includes: - Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM), the investment advisor for the Schwab Funds mutual funds and ETFs; - Charles Schwab Investment Advisory (CSIA), which includes all of our proprietary managed accounts, including Schwab Intelligent Portfolios, Schwab Managed Portfolios, Windhaven Investments and ThomasPartners; - The Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), who provide industry insights for investors - The Asset Management Client Solutions (AMCS), responsible for leading Schwab’s 3rd party platforms, offering Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, ETFs, Annuities & Insurance, and Alternative Investments The Managing Director, Third Party Product Events & Education will lead the team responsible for the events strategy and execution for our Mutual Fund and ETF platforms, as well as the marketing initiatives that drive client awareness of these critical product platforms.  This individual will provide strategic leadership and functional guidance to the team, which focuses on integrating third-party asset manager involvement into Schwab events.  These events support a wide variety of business needs across Schwab’s key business units, including both the RIA (Advisor Services, or AS) and individual investor (Investor Services, or IS) organizations.  Educational events range from local workshops in our retail branches, to large-scale gatherings of RIAs at conferences like Schwab IMPACT.  The Managing Director will be accountable for ensuring the team’s strategy and approach successfully aligns the needs of three main constituents (clients, Schwab’s business enterprises, and asset managers) across all aspects of event management.  The agenda, content, asset managers, products, presenters involved in any given event would support that end goal.  This person will need to develop a strong, forward-looking point of view around what topics and content are most relevant to our AS and IS partners and clients, which asset managers are best able to deliver on those needs, and which events offer opportunities for connecting the two.

Retail Owned Channel & Client Marketing (ROCCM) is the team responsible for activating these opportunities through marketing and content, to help clients achieve positive outcomes and in turn drive growth for Schwab.   This team is comprised of five functions:   -          Oversee the customer acquisition, product merchandising and financial education experiences on Schwab.com, the firm’s flagship store, and its presence on Google (through Search Engine Optimization) -          Market all the products and services Schwab offers to retail brokerage clients -          Deliver financial guidance to clients and prospects through educational content -          Manage data-driven communication platforms and delivery -          Marketing communications to Schwab’s clients and prospective clients outside of the United States, through affiliates Charles Schwab, Hong Kong, Ltd. and Charles Schwab, U.K., Ltd., as well as through the Schwab Latin America Center and Schwab Global Services.   The Managing Director for International Marketing plays a unique role within the ROCCM as the leader of a comprehensive suite of marketing functions directed at non-US prospects and clients.  The Managing Director is responsible for driving new-to-firm acquisition and existing client development across multiple businesses across Greater China, Latin America, and the U.K.  The role works in a close partnership with Schwab’s International Services enterprise and is a key partner in the growth and success of that business.
