Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM), is the investment advisor for the Schwab Funds mutual funds and ETFs and also includes our Schwab Managed Portfolios, Windhaven Investments and ThomasPartners. With over $215 billion in 13 funds with 15 share classes, CSIM is the eighth largest manager of money market funds (MMFs) in the US. The MMFs serve as a key cash products offering for many of Schwab’s clients and the clients of Registered Investment Advisors who custody their assets at Schwab.   We are looking for a Quantitative Developer passionate about frameworks and techniques that drive our investment process. As part of our investment research team, you will be an integral part of understanding our investment products from end-to-end, from how the raw data is ingested to how the clients invest in the final products.

Schwab clients hold alternative investments spread across privately and publicly registered funds.  But as more and more clients are using alternative investments for some portion of their portfolio, we see an opportunity to enhance the services we provide them.  The Alternative Investment team is leading this charge.  With direct responsibility for the alternative investment client experience at Schwab, this team plays a critical role in the end to end product experience.   Purpose:   The Managing Director of AI product management and HNW client consulting will be a critical member of the AI team, with responsibility for developing and managing the end to end client experience for our retail and RIA channels.  They will be responsible for the ongoing strategy for the alternative investment platform across multiple product types: registered non traded funds, unregistered funds and structured products.  The individual will manage a client facing sales team that manages ongoing client interactions and on boards new clients.  This individual will also play a central role in providing thought leadership for the broader alternative investment business.

The IS Strategy group is one of the main intake points for premier talent at Schwab, providing members with an unparalleled opportunity to work on the major strategic and operational issues confronting the business while gaining visibility among the firm's executive and senior leadership. The team is responsible for: - Insights: Deliver world class strategic insights and recommendations - Analysis: Conduct clear, consistent, fact-based analysis to inform key business decisions - Prioritization: Drive the allocation of scarce resources to the highest value issues across Schwab - Communication: Develop high impact presentations for key audiences, including the c-suite, Board, analyst community, and regulators - Partnership: Cultivate strong relationships with business partners across the company to inform and align strategy work, and to actively support the transition from recommendation to execution Strategy Managers report to Managing Directors and interact with senior members of Schwab’s leadership team and executive partners within the business units. Recent representative project work includes acquisition diligence, platform and business strategy for the trading business, international expansion strategy, and other associated work.
