Schwab Asset Management Services, or SAMS, our asset management organization, has a fast-paced, core strategy team, passionate about crafting growth-focused business strategies. Our team is responsible for long-term business strategies that encompass Schwab’s money management and portfolio advice, products and solutions. The Director of Platform Strategy will play a significant role on the team, primarily focused on designing major business strategies and facilitating them through the entire project planning lifecycle. These strategies intersect with the priorities of key business partners in Investor Services and Advisor Services. The overarching SAMS organization is passionately committed to providing solutions that help Schwab clients achieve their financial goals. Beyond Third-Party Platforms & SAMS Strategy, SAMS includes: - Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM), the investment advisor for the Schwab Funds mutual funds and ETFs; - Charles Schwab Investment Advisory (CSIA), which includes all of our proprietary managed accounts and advice offers, including Schwab Intelligent Portfolios, Schwab Managed Portfolios, Windhaven Investments and ThomasPartners; - Schwab Income Solutions, our Fixed Income, Insurance and Annuities organization; - The Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR). The Director’s projects will therefore be broad in scope and require creativity and highly innovative critical thinking, as well as planning, communication, and partnership skills. The successful candidate must be ambitious and passionate about strategy, analytics and financial services. S/he will be self-motivated, results oriented and able to partner with senior leaders on major strategic initiatives. A passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals is a must.

We develop new products and services for clients, build relationships with third-party asset management partners, maintain a healthy offering (e.g. by adding new funds or resources), and work effectively with outside firms to create a positive client experience. The overall SAMS team is passionately committed to providing solutions that help Schwab clients achieve their financial goals.
