Your Opportunity

The Technology Risk and Cybersecurity Compliance (TRACC) team within SCS supports Schwab’s dedication to safeguarding information and computing resources through the proven cyber and technology risk management practices.

The Senior Technology and Cyber Resilience role is a 1st line of defense (LOD) function. This position develops and implements with the broader team as well as 2nd LOD partners to establish, maintain, report on, and continuously mature the resiliency risk management program, including the framework.

What you are good at

  • Develop and Mature existing Resiliency controls within the Firm’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program by ensuring technology owners are accurately assessing cyber resilience risk in their environments, identifying breaks in the efficiency of their CR controls, and mitigating discovered gaps
  • Partner with other risk oversight functions, technology owners, and 1st LOD risk managers to drive measurable and balanced improvements within the control environment
  • Build, maintain, and report on Issues/Findings, Action Plans, Risks, and Controls within IBM OpenPages Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform(s)
  • Prepare regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports for management and risk committees regarding status of risk treatment activities, risk appetite metrics and key risk indicators
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning to mature our posture

What you have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
  • 8+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas, preferably in a large enterprise environment: Cyber Resilience, Data Center Operations, Business or IT Service Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery, High Availability Engineering, Operational Risk Management, Control Design and Validation, Third Party Risk Management, Information Security, IT Risk/Control, and/or IT Audit domains
  • Experience with Internal Audits, SSAE16, SOX, and/or regulatory assessments
  • Familiarity with control frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory guidance.
  • Understanding of benefits gained and challenges posed by public cloud infrastructure as it relates to resilience posture
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously across a large matrixed environment
