Your Opportunity

The Third-Party Platforms & Strategy organization is responsible for managing our third-party asset management platforms – maintaining a vibrant client experience while growing a revenue stream which is vital to Schwab’s overall financial health. This group manages the following products: Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, ETFs, 529s, Structured Products, and Alternative Investments. We develop new products and services for clients, build relationships with third-party asset management partners, maintain a healthy offering (e.g. by adding new products or resources), and work effectively with outside firms to build a positive client experience.


As part of the Managed Accounts and Alternative Investments manager engagement and business enablement (MEBE) team, as a Senior Manager you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of the businesses by both working with money managers and the Schwab client channel sales teams. These product platforms play an integral role in offering wealth management services and solutions to help attract and retain affluent clients.


The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving engagement and managing strategic Asset Manager relationships across SMA & AI products and third-party strategic vendor relationships, helping firms understand Schwab platforms and programs, opportunities to participate, providing day to day support and direction to managers in solving their needs and identifying strategic and tactical initiatives to drive value for Schwab and our clients. This also includes evolving our approach to how we engage with Managers and improving our programs on an ongoing basis.


Additionally, this individual will be responsible for Manager communications on behalf of the Product team and collecting, distributing and using program insights and reporting to inform enhancements to our third-party programs and better understand our third-party relationships, creating business summaries for leadership in preparation of strategic meetings with third parties, developing plans that support marketing and education initiatives in collaboration with the platform consultants, product management team, and with business partners across the Schwab organization.

  • Establishing key business partner relationships to engage in manager meetings: set the agenda, prepare materials, and follow up on outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Developing client channel facing education and marketing plans and materials to support the growth of our businesses.
  • Facilitating and partnering with Product Management in the delivery of educational resources for Platform Consultants and business partners.
  • Project management.
  • Researching solutions to resolve advisor and client product and process challenges.

What you have

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, both internally and externally, in pursuit of shared objectives.
  • Organized and detail oriented; strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize our most critical activities and drive toward timely completion and follow through.
  • Robust communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to develop materials and effectively present to and persuade audiences.
  • Comfort navigating multiple business channels and complex organizational structures.
  • Self-motivated, with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to work through ambiguity or challenges.
  • Passion for problem solving, building relationships, and pursuing success both individually and for business partners.
  • Team-centric approach.
  • Power point and data analysis experience and skillset.
  • Series 7 is a plus.
