Charles Schwab's Banking Experiences team builds key journeys and moments for millions of clients and/or their advisors who are engaged in their wealth and managing their financial outcomes with brokerage, banking and trust capabilities. We are responsible for defining, delivering, and optimizing the client-facing and advisor-facing digital experiences with the right targeted client experience across multiple channels and business lines.

As an industry leader, we approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm and aim to improve both how Schwab operates and moving the needle in how the industry serves investors and advisors. We collaborate across user experience, product, client service, operations and technology teams to build products clients love. In this role, you will drive the creation, refinement, and evolution of targeted banking experiences based on client behavior and needs.

We are looking for a product and customer champion to lead the Banking Experiences (Lending/Trust) team and help us craft the future Schwab Digital. The team is responsible for:

  • Strategy – Setting results-oriented and clear vision for end-to-end digital lending/trust banking experiences
  • Execution - All aspects of technology product development including the definition, creation, development, implementation and experimentation through a prioritized backlog of product features
  • Client Focus – Developing a deep understanding and appreciation for prospect and client needs across Retail and Advisor Services
  • Partnership – Support matrixed teams in delivering seamless end-to-end experiences

What you are good at

  • Responsible for the product vision and the technical execution for digital lending experiences for Retail and Advisor clients
  • Translate the product vision into specific deliverables, and ensure rigor in execution and attention to detail by effectively managing the product feature backlog
  • Use OKRs to get results for our clients, firm and team
  • Support iterative testing and ongoing improvement of the client experience
  • Lead the generation of new ideas based on data, analytics, insights, market trends, and interactions with partners, clients and prospects
  • Champion Agile methodologies, leading and participating in the product owner activities including daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, backlog prioritization, user story preparation and demos
  • Work cross-functionally and horizontally with technical, design, business, operations and compliance counterparts to define product release requirements and issue management

What you have

  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to formulate compelling vision and strategy and translate that to substantial roadmaps and results
  • Strong knowledge base and experience developing or leading digital experiences, coupled with knowledge of the underlying technology, both current and emerging
  • Good understanding and/or experience with lending products & services highly desired
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization
  • Highly developed communication and presentations skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to leadership teams
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally with technology, service, operations, marketing and product teams to lead the entire lifecycle of the experiences
  • Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner or leading scrum teams is preferred, with a deep understanding of agile
  • Curiosity, a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple project deliverables with minimal direction
  • Bachelor’s degree required, post graduate degree is a plus
  • 4+ years digital product owner experience
