Schwab is recruiting to hire a results-oriented technology leader with a strong track record in leading large scale data acquisition and conversion efforts in a financial services industry setting. The Cash & Stock (CSS) Technology group provides Cashiering, Asset Servicing and other Core Brokerage business capabilities to Schwab’s Retail and Institutional businesses by developing innovative, unique-in-class investment products.
We are looking for a Managing Director, Data Acquisition & Conversion who will excel in leading a dynamic team, in a fast-paced and agile environment, to develop a data acquisition and conversion strategy and then implement it at an enterprise wide level in support of large scale mergers and acquisitions.
The primary responsibility of the Managing Director, Data Acquisition & Conversion is to take technology ownership and be the single point of accountability for planning and implementing the strategy to acquire, transform and convert non-financial and financial data supporting large Merger & Acquisition initiatives at Schwab. You will own the organization of teams, preparation of platforms and designing and optimizing processes that engage with acquired data, systems and organizations to execute the conversion of client centric data as well as balances and position data from acquired entities to Schwab’s Broker/Dealer platform.
This role requires leading a dynamic team of individual contributors, subject matter experts and team managers, as well as effectively collaborating cross enterprise with other technology peers, executives and business partners. You must have strong technology implementation, organizational and people leadership capabilities as well as the experience of leading large Agile-oriented Product Development teams. The ability to understand, develop and align with technology and business strategies and goals, and communicate to senior technology and business leadership is an essential component of the role. You should have a passion for influencing and inspiring teams in developing innovative solutions that meet the enterprise’s needs.
