We are looking for a highly experienced, self-driven, collaborative Business Intelligence Developer who is well versed in Systems Development, Data Analysis, Data Architecture and Visual Data Storytelling. As a member of an organization with broad business impact, you will work directly with business partners and colleagues to develop and support a myriad of BI Solutions.  Deliverables will include a high degree of data visualization with embedded analytics, user-driven analysis capabilities, all geared toward driving action and business growth.

What you’re good at

  • Work directly with business leaders to get beyond the initial “ask” to understand the underlying business needs, critical path, and timeline surrounding key goals
  • Lead efforts in providing business performance visibility on scalable business intelligence and reporting platforms to drive business results
  • Work aggressively toward developing optimal business intelligence strategies to satisfying short and longer term priorities with solutions ranging from traditional to more modern, interactive reporting tools
  • Leverage an analytic mindset to develop visualization of key trends and insights for decision making
  • Work with a robust data warehouse and reporting tools to deliver high impact production reports used by executives across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational/functional teams to collectively achieve desired business outcomes
  • Adopt leading practices to create efficiencies and drive toward better results-oriented business outcomes
  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain data processes that derive performance measures and dimensions
  • Leverage Agile methodologies and best practices recommendations.

What you have

  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 8+ years of Business Intelligence and/or Data Analytics
  • 5+ years of experience in creating highly interactive data visualization Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server
  • 5+ years SQL structured programming, ad hoc queries, and data analysis development using Teradata, Oracle, or other databases in a large scale data warehouse environment.
  • Must have hands on experience coding and designing new reports, maintaining and enhancing existing reports, and designing dashboards on scalable intelligence platforms
  • Must be able to create and maintain advanced SQL that is maintainable and highly efficient
  • Must have experience working directly with business leaders to understand objectives and articulating the impact of business intelligence solutions
  • Must be able to understand and explain complicated subject matter to others across the business that are less connected to the situation and/or are less technically-oriented
  • Experienced developing dashboard wireframes and design requirements based on discussion with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations
  • Work aggressively toward developing optimal business intelligence strategies to satisfying short and longer term priorities with solutions ranging from traditional to more modern, interactive reporting tools
  • Coordinates, compiles and analyzes highly complex reporting requests for the organization from a variety of sources. Verifies data for accuracy and is able to identify inconsistencies and recommend correction action
  • Perform rigorous testing to assess the quality and accuracy of data in the system, support ideas and methodologies to ensure data quality
  • Ability to consistently deliver solid, successful solutions with short development cycles that hit the mark on the initial delivery
  • Support our agile project work with business and technical teams to define roadmaps, manage backlog, prioritize and ensure accountability within the portfolio
  • Must be comfortable dealing with changing priorities and timelines

Preferred:

  • Extensive advanced SQL experience with large databases or big data (e.g. Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle)
  • Knowledge of the brokerage business, financial services, and/or Schwab a plus
