  • Your Opportunity

    In this position, the qualified candidate will provide technical leadership, skill development, and issue resolution to a technical delivery team delivering business capabilities for HR Systems at Schwab. Will partner with Software Solution Architects, Business Systems Analysts, Project Managers, QA Engineers, Product Owners and IT leadership to implement robust software solutions using standard methodologies and delivering high quality products according to business timelines while focusing on a positive user experience.

     

    What you’re good at

    • Works closely with the HR Technical Director and HR Managing Director in devising Integration and Implementation strategies to improve the Schwab HR Systems ecosystem.
    • Works with the HR Technical Director and HR Managing Director to assess current capabilities and find opportunities to help drive the HR business strategy.
    • Mentors the HRT organization with regard to the capabilities of all HR Systems.
    • Will execute and be responsible for the deployment of code across environments.
    • Will approve and conduct design and code reviews.
    • Works with the HRIS, HR Reporting & Analytics, and HR Integration teams to help deliver consulting services that guide the organization when making system decisions for the Enterprise.
    • Works with IT groups to own the development and use of enterprise-wide HR integration architecture standards for data storage and consumption.
    • Leads standard methodology studies that address critical HR or Human Capital issues or questions.
    • Provides training for system and support teams on application capabilities, reporting platforms and other integration frameworks.
    • Advise HRT Leadership on how products, tools and processes could be improved.
    • Lead HR Technology projects related to business process, data conversion, data retention, integration employee portal and reporting technology efforts.
    • Chip in to HR systems strategy development, and coordinate implementations, optimizing HRIS investments.
    • Coordinate to establish target architectures for process, solution and information needs as they align to current and future HR strategies.

    What you have

    • 5-7+ years in HR, HRIS operations, system design and implementation
    • 5+ years in Technology or Application consulting
    • Experience working with HR workforce data, and utilizing various tools, produce robust data analytics and experience with predictive analytics
    • Experience with CMS’s, Intranet technologies and practices.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    • Ability to communicate technical details to end users, and recommend to IT system functionality that best meets the needs of end users. Interpret and present in a clear, explainable usable form.
    • Lead technical work you're doing for multiple projects with challenging deadlines and provide application support for HR applications (HRIS, Talent, Learning, Benefits, Compensation, etc.)
    • Clear and effective oral and written communications in both technical and non-technical formats.
    • Good attention to detail ensuring data integrity.
    • Deliver robust software solutions following agile development practices, code and design review, performance tuning, end-to-end testing and deployment using change management principles
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with top executives
    • Experience with multiple HR systems (Workday, iCIMS, SumTotal, etc.)
    • Experience with Enterprise Reporting, Data Integration, ETL and Collaboration tools (i.e. OBIEE, Informatica, Golden Gate, Tableau, MS PowerBI, SharePoint, etc.)
    • Experience with Java, .Net, Spring Cloud Data Flow, Spring Boot, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, RabbitMQ
    • Experience with the Cloud including SaaS software
    • Experience with Technical Governance
