    The AST Business Management Office delivers an end to end, in-house, request to rollout experience for Charles Schwab employees. Using state of the art BI platforms and the MSDN suite, we create solutions that give our partners a greater sense of empowerment, responsibility, and ownership that is otherwise difficult to find in large companies. We are seeking to hire a driven, self-starting Staff Engineer that has a fiery passion for technology, innovation, and challenging the status quo. In partnership with the rest of the collective team, you will be supporting the Advisor Services Front Line Connection team as an engineer eager to learn that there is a new way to do traditional IT, exceeding the expectations of our partners, time and time again. Our team’s main objective is to realize the idea and vision of any Schwab employee that knows the “what” but needs help executing on the “how”.

    What you have

    • Experience in integrating differentiated systems with few or no relational variables
    • Demonstrated capabilities with trending BI technologies such as Alteryx, Informatica, Lavastorm
    • Demonstrated capabilities with trending data viz technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik
    • Demonstrated experience with ETL processing, data warehousing, and backend database      configuration and management in SQL, Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop with Hive, and MongoDB
    • Understanding of other programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, and HTML
    • Understanding of Atlassian stack
    • General understanding of REST and the Web Services space
    • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
    • Must be self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to      complex, time-critical problems
    • Ability to work in a team environment focused on Agile practices
    • Ability to present work to engineers (detailed solutions) and executives (high level value)
    • Proficient managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment
